I inherited most of my furnitures from my uncle Ron and several quilts from my late grandma, Willema. The other day, I felt overwhelmed with too much brown colors in my living room and since I’m a shabby chic fan, I am dying for more bright colors in my life. So I decided to start with my armchair by covering it with my grandma’s quilt and put together a throw pillow cover with a fabric that I got from Goodwill. To finish, I sew a spiral ribbon on it after being inspired by this photo. Does it look more inviting now? Yes, it just might be my new favorite reading spot. It just might!

I don’t know about you but I couldn’t take my eyes off this photo. It makes me want to close my eyes with her.

I bought this Pacer jacket from Goodwill (Yes, I shop there often) and when I washed it, my sleeves shrunk. We all know that is no good.
Decided to turn it into vest instead and I like it so much better.
What a big difference, eh?

I have been wearing my Charlotte Russe brown pants as one of my go-to performance attire for several years before retiring it. Just today, I was sorting through my old clothes to see if any of them could be revived and decided to turn my old brown pants into shorts as its lovely outside. I didn’t get around to taking before picture but I do have one that was taken at one of my shows:

Happy Monday! I’m off to catch a movie, “What’s Your Number?” by myself! Whoo hoo!

Last year, I made several bowties that are now hanging in my craft room, collecting dust. I thought I’d make better use of them by turning them into headbands. I just simply hotglued it on an elastic headband and I’m happy again. Could you tell?

I bought these four black mouse pads from Ikea, thinking that I’ll come up with something clever to use with them and it took me 3 years to come up with something that’s not even close to “clever” but oh well. This morning, I grabbed my ready-made alphabet stencil that I bought from JoAnns and sprayed adhesive on the back and put them on the mouse pads. I used acrylic white paint and there is that! Not too shabby, eh? Oh, btw, Jace is my 16 months old son’s name.

Here is the red carpet dress that I was talking about earlier. I loved wearing it and it was comfortable minus the tight string around my neck, causing me a headache at one point but its all good. As for the movie, it felt surreal watching my face on a huge movie screen. Makes me feel like a movie star– even if its just for one night. I wish everybody could have an opportunity to experience that. Definitely addicting. Thank you for all of your kind words and support as this is my very first film. I couldn’t ask for better fans. Love love.
